How to install iOS 6 Beta on your iPhone 4S or iPad

iOS 6 features were finally revealed in the WWDC 2012 but iPhone 4S users still need to wait for the fall of 2012 to be able to upgrade their iPhones. However, if you don’t want to wait that long then you can install the beta iOS 6 version on your iPhone. Do remember that being a beta version, it won’t be able to run all apps and you might face some problems with its running.

The beta version is for developers, so either you can take a $99 license of developers of just get the iOS 6 beta for $7 by directly paying for it.

How to get access to iOS 6 beta

To get iOS beta you need to register you iPhone 4S with a developers account. To do so you can use IMZDL website which is offering UDIDregistrations for iOS 6 Beta for $7 with a 24 hour turnaround.

If you can’t wait for 24 hours then you can directly register your iPhone or iPad UDID with IMZDL for $8 and start installing iOS 6 within 2 minutes.

For easier registration you can try the UDID sender app which will send email to your iPhone or iPad UDID.
Presently, IMZDL is under heavy server load so you will have to try several times to load the page. You can follow them on Facebook page or Twitter to get alert when new registrations are available.

Warnings before installing iOS 6 beta
  1. Officially Apple has said that you won't be downgrade once you have installed the iOS 6 beta. However, you should be able to downgrade because Apple still signs iOS 5.1.1. If this is a big worry then I would suggest to wait for a few days for this confirmation.
  2. Over the air update for iOS 6 Beta is not available and you need to use a computer and a cord/bluetooth to do this upgrade.
  3. As warned in the start, being a beta update, not all features will work as you want them to nor there is any guarantee that all apps will function on this beta version of iOS 6. So proceed for the update at your own risk!
