Java program to check if a word is a Palindrome with user input from console

In this program we would be making the user of BufferedReader to get the input from the user and then it would be saved in String 's'. After that we would be comparing the words from first to last to check if the word is a Palindrome. It works for both even and odd number of digits as the in case of odd number of digits the middle digit is ignored. There are some complex methods to shorten the code but if you are starting out then you should try this easy code.

DTH service providers: Videocon vs Reliance features and services comparison

I will say that in today's time DTH services are playing a very important role for our entertainment. Now this service have been compulsorily applied to many states of our country. So whether you like it or not, you really have to go for any of the DTH service providers if you want to get the daily entertainment dose in case your cable TV operator has not switched to it. Here I will be discussing about two DTH services and they are Videocon and Reliance. Both of the companies are well known for their services, but now it is the time to check out which one of these will be able to provide you the best services when it comes to media entertainment.

Videocon vs Reliance

First let us see all the possible pros and cons of Videocon and as well as Reliance Big TV:

  • When it comes to Reliance Big TV you will be able to access all the 250 channels in HD, in other words you can say that the channels will be available in up-scaled HD like quality with video resolution of 1080p at 50 Hz which is really cool. In Reliance Big TV picture and sound quality is awesome. Videocon also delivers good picture and audio quality. In this term both are good.
  • Reliance is really good in offering you packages of different channels, when compared to all DTH packages and prices you will find that Reliance is really good in that. Same thing you will be able to see in Videocon, with this service provider also all the channels are available at low price, and even the package prices are good. The best thing is that you will be able to order a lot of paid movie channels and Videocon provides you good amount of channels that too in good quality. The pack of packages in both the services are carefully organized to provide you the best return on your money.
  • Both of the services are using MPEG-4 technology, so in this field both are doing their best job. But the challenging task is to keep up its service when it is raining. When it comes to Reliance then you will surely have less rain fade issue, and even I would say that Videocon also stands in the same line when it is raining heavily.
  • Reliance somewhere does lack in doing a lot of publicity. In the area of clarity, even the infrastructure of this service is not properly build and may be because of this, Reliance is not that famous. The same is with Videocon, even it have not been able to succeed much in the market like Dish TV and Airtel DTH. So according to me both the services have not be able to properly showcase all their features in a good way.
  • If you see overall then Reliance Big TV does not have any major disadvantage, but the worst thing is that it has an irritating large logo, which is not even transparent making it quite difficult to ignore it as well. The software also has some problems because of which sometimes hanging problem of STB appears. It does not have a good EPG (Electronic program guide) and may be the reason for all this is Incorrect package activation and bad customer service.
  • When we talk about disadvantages of Videocon then it has been observed that a lot of customers are reporting about pixelation problem and here also the STB software is not that good and even the range compression level at which it is applied is very low. For those who do not know what is DRC, it is a technique which is applied to equalize sound intensity, for example if you have a very high velocity sound coming with great beats and if high DRC is applied then sound will change to very low intensity with beats flattened thus giving you a poor audio experience.

Wrap up

We could not find much difference in the quality of the service of both the providers. Except for the issue of the opaque logo in Reliance Big TV, both the services are almost equal in their pricing, quality and customer support.
